Whenwise Terms of Use

By downloading or using Whenwise, you agree to these terms. Where these terms are silent, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies.
1. What Whenwise is (and is not)
Whenwise provides educational estimates of Social Security retirement benefits and related figures, computed from formulas and values published by the Social Security Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Whenwise is not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified professional or for official determinations by the Social Security Administration. Your actual benefits are determined solely by the Social Security Administration. Always verify important figures with SSA (ssa.gov) before making decisions.
Whenwise is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Social Security Administration or any government agency.
2. Estimates and their limits
Estimates depend on the information you enter, on published values that change each year, and on documented simplifications listed inside the app (Settings → Sources, and Tools → What we don’t compute). We work hard to keep the math faithful to published rules, but we do not guarantee that any estimate matches the benefit you will actually receive.
3. Subscriptions
Whenwise offers auto-renewing subscriptions (annual, with a free trial where offered, and weekly). Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel anytime in your device Settings → Subscriptions. Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
4. Acceptable use
The app is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control. Don’t reverse-engineer the app, misrepresent its outputs as official government figures, or use its name or outputs in a way that implies SSA affiliation or endorsement.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on estimates shown in the app, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
6. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
